What's New

Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) is an advancement in knee and hip replacement that offers potential important advantages over standard surgical procedures. MIS Joint Replacement is indeed "minimally invasive," requiring smaller incisions and potentially causing less trauma to the soft tissues than traditional techniques.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a relatively new treatment for multiple orthopedic conditions. It is becoming very popular worldwide. PRP is a concentration of platelets harvested from your own blood. Platelets have growth factors that promote healing in acute and chronic injuries. Injecting PRP into an area of injury may stimulate and enhance your body's ability to heal the condition.

Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery is performed through small incisions using a camera to visualize the inside of a joint. Through small incisions (about 1 centimeter each) your surgeon will insert a camera into one incision, and small instruments through the other incisions. When arthroscopic techniques are used, the entire joint can be visualized and treated, as opposed to using an open technique. Types of injuries that are treated with this type of procedure are rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, AC joint arthritis, as well as others. Benefits of this type of surgery are faster recovery and less tissue damage. Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgeries are the current standard of care and our surgeons have extensive training and experience with these procedures.
